Search not going to correct page - gives me page not found

When I submit a search keyword it takes me to a page not found. The page url looks like this:

/index.php/search-results/?search_paths%5B%5D=&query=kymco

The search block on the homepage has these settings:
Search Within Path: Search everywhere

Post to another page elsewhere: /search-results

I have pretty url's turned on.
I have a page called Search and a child page called Search Results
the page path is search-results

on the search results page I have another search block with options of, search everywhere, unchecked post to another page elsewhere.

Why do my searches go to a page not found url, I don't know what is wrong.

Hey-

Go to your sitemap and look for the Search Results page. If it doesn't exist, create one and name it Search Results (URL slug: search-results).

Then, go to the page and add a search block to it.

Hey-

Sorry, mis read your first post.

If your search results page is actually /search/search-results (which it sounds like it is), then you have to post to /search/search-results (instead of just /search-results, which /index.php/search-results/?search_paths%5B%5D=&query=kymco is).

Thank you so much, I tried what you said and it worked, now I know that you have to put the whole path in the "post to another page" I had seen in the documentation to do it that way. But I was just confused.

Thanks again.
