Updating Concrete5

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade C5 from 5.6.0.2 to 5.6.1.2 but it is giving me the following error "The directory /home/barrys/public_html/updates does not exist."

I can see a page called updates but no folder???? Should it be a folder or a page? Either way not will not update for me.

Can someone offer advice?
