Advanced Permissions Admin Issues

Advanced permissions has been activated for my site. I am set up as an Admin for my home page and have given the user group "Admin" permission to add sub-pages. However, as I add a page and click "Add Page," I am given this message "Page Forbidden. You are not authorized to access this page." Why would this be, and how can I fix this?

I have gone so far as to add myself individually (with my username) within the advanced permissions to add a sub-page, but I still receive the same error message.

Also, the same permissions are set up for the pages underneath the home page, and I have no problem adding sub-pages anywhere else, just the home page.

Maybe check the page type permissions.
